Punlaan School is a non-profit technical-vocational school (NGO) and tourism training center accredited by the  Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) amongst others, and duly registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

 

Punlaan School is a project of the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI).  The spiritual and doctrinal formation is entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Catholic Church.

The Mission

To provide underprivileged young women with livelihood and employment skills, work attitudes and Christian values that contribute to their economic, social, human and spiritual upliftment.

The Vision

To enhance the effectiveness of young women in the performance of their varied roles in family life and nation-building, and enable them to achieve a quality of life consistent with their human dignity, thus effectively alleviating them from poverty.

We offer a two-year diploma SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM in Food and Beverage Services for the Tourism Industry (hotels and restaurants) with the following features:

  2. •STIPEND of P600 given after the sixth month when they start their on-the-job training.

  3. •Twelve month high-standard ON-THE-JOB SKILLS TRAINING in a prestigious hotel or restaurant.

  4. •Eleven months IN-SCHOOL TRAINING for the theoretical knowledge.

  5. •Holistic education with premium given to CHARACTER BUILDING AND VALUES FORMATION through a Mentoring Program.

  6. •Participation of more than SEVENTY-FIVE TOP HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS where students do their on-the-job training

  7. •IMMEDIATE EMPLOYMENT in a prestigious hotel or restaurant right after graduation.

  8. •Proven track record of over ONE THOUSAND GRADUATES GAINFULLY EMPLOYED since the start of the program in 1993.

  9. •GRADUATES now occupying SUPERVISORY AND MANAGERIAL POSITIONS, having been promoted from the entry-level positions of food, kitchen, beverage, pastry, pantry attendant, and cost control clerk.
